Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional freight deliveries within 200-mile radius
- Load/unload shipments with proper securing techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance documentation
- Optimize routes to meet tight delivery windows while prioritizing safety
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report mechanical issues promptly
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delays or route changes
- Represent the company professionally during all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or commercial vehicle experience
- Reliable late-model box truck (26' or similar) in good mechanical condition
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment safely
- Strong knowledge of Buffalo/Niagara metro area and surrounding regions
- Commercial insurance coverage with $1M liability minimum
- DOT medical certification and compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Smartphone with reliable GPS and communication capabilities
