Responsibilities
- Safely operate your own box truck for local/regional freight delivery
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and customer communication
- Adhere to DOT regulations and perform daily vehicle inspections
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries and fuel efficiency
- Coordinate with dispatch team for load assignments and scheduling
- Manage cargo securement and proper handling procedures
- Report maintenance needs and ensure vehicle readiness
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience
- Reliable box truck (26+ ft) with current registration and insurance
- Strong knowledge of Atlanta metro area and regional routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Basic understanding of DOT compliance and safety protocols
- Smartphone with GPS and reliable communication
