Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck for local and regional freight delivery
- Manage route optimization and timely deliveries within Louisville metro and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and customer communication
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient scheduling and load planning
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards
- Build and maintain positive client relationships
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Own or willing to acquire box truck (2015+ model preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Louisville metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- Smartphone with reliable internet for dispatch communication
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
