Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck (26ft) for local and regional freight deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries in high-traffic NYC areas
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Ensure freight security and proper handling
- Adhere to DOT regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience
- Own/lease well-maintained 26ft box truck
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M+ liability)
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Smartphone with reliable GPS and communication apps
