Responsibilities
- Safely operate 24-foot box trucks for local/regional deliveries throughout Western New York
- Manage daily route planning and on-time delivery of freight to commercial and residential clients
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and coordinate with dispatch teams
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic truck maintenance per DOT regulations
- Build client relationships through professional service and reliable delivery performance
- Optimize routes for fuel efficiency and timely deliveries using provided GPS technology
- Submit weekly invoices and mileage reports for prompt payment processing
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement (NY State required)
- Minimum 2 years of box truck or commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor truck troubleshooting
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Must own or be willing to lease/purchase company-approved box truck
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT standards
