Responsibilities
- Safely Deliver Packages: Transport packages to customer doorsteps in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily safety checks on your assigned delivery vehicle to ensure it is in top working condition.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally, answering questions and resolving delivery issues with a friendly demeanor.
- Inventory Management: Sort packages efficiently and accurately before loading and unloading the vehicle.
- Route Optimization: Follow designated routes and adhere to time schedules to maximize efficiency and UPH (Units Per Hour).
- Compliance: Adhere to all local traffic laws, safety protocols, and Amazon's operational standards at all times.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork and digital logs accurately at the end of your shift.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- Smartphone: You must have a compatible smartphone (iPhone or Android) to use the delivery app for scanning and navigation.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods while on the job.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time, including weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
- Communication: Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) are required for customer interaction.
- Insurance: Proof of valid auto insurance coverage is required.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a background check is necessary.
