Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers to deliver freight on time and within budget.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and vehicle safety.
- Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and bars to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all necessary delivery paperwork, including bills of lading.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery status.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, FMCSA regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Certificate (DOT Physical) is mandatory.
- Clean driving record with no major violations (DUI, Reckless Driving) in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
