Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for long-haul and regional freight delivery
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logbooks
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips to ensure roadworthiness
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route planning
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques
- Communicate with clients regarding delivery status and concerns
- Maintain clean driving record and safety documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with DC metro area routes and regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in varying weather conditions
