Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van/reefer) within Chicago metro area
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and DOT regulations
- Pre-trip/post-trip inspections and documentation
- Coordinate with dispatchers for route optimization
- Maintain clean driving record and log compliance
- Handle freight loading/unloading with proper techniques
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Familiarity with Chicago traffic patterns and routes
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Physical ability to handle freight up to 70 lbs
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside assistance
- Flexibility for early morning/late evening shifts
