Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight between Santa Ana and regional distribution centers
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems while adhering to delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and secure cargo according to safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with California transportation regulations and Santa Ana area routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment safely
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities and customer service orientation
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and occasional weekends
