Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to transport freight across Miami and the broader South Florida region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and identify maintenance needs.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring all items are securely fastened.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation.
- Navigate efficiently through traffic and adhere to all traffic laws and speed limits.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Keep the vehicle clean and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in freight or logistics driving.
- Pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of Florida roadways and local traffic patterns.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
