Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo integrity during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs and records, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily inspection reports.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery deadlines and minimize dwell time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and cargo status.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (Class A or B).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Ability to lift and move cargo weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
