Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial freight vehicles (Class A or Class B) to deliver goods to customers in the Seattle metro area.
- Inspect vehicles before and after routes to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws to ensure passenger and cargo safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with required endorsements.
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in freight or logistics.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
