Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial trucks to deliver freight on time and in pristine condition.
- Vehicle Inspection: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and DOT compliance.
- Cargo Securement: Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and bars to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery schedules.
- Professionalism: Maintain a clean driving record and represent the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Physical Health: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Hazardous Materials: Strong understanding of cargo securement and hazardous materials regulations (if applicable).
- Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs during loading/unloading.
