Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Manage and maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring adherence to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes and delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of interstate and local driving regulations.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
