Responsibilities
- Safe Vehicle Operation: Operate commercial trucks in a safe, efficient, and legal manner at all times, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load & Unload Freight: Safely load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution is correct and securing freight properly.
- Route Planning: Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules, making timely deliveries while optimizing fuel efficiency.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts, logbooks, and mileage reports.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and customers, maintaining a positive company image.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A: Must hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and possess good manual dexterity.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and understand maps and delivery instructions.
- Equipment: Willingness to obtain necessary endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, or Doubles/Triples) if applicable to the role.
