Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of cargo using proper equipment and techniques
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Optimize delivery routes to meet tight deadlines while maintaining fuel efficiency
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and required documentation with 100% compliance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Maryland/Northeastern US transportation corridors
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend deliveries
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
