Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and heavy vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo security and proper weight distribution.
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and delivery paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Navigate complex routes and traffic patterns efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Represent the company professionally at loading docks and customer sites.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current DOT medical card and ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and cargo securement procedures.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to meet customer demands.
