Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between distribution centers, warehouses, and client locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Verify cargo documentation and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Baton Rouge area
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends based on delivery schedules
