Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between distribution centers and client locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure cargo security through proper loading/unloading and documentation procedures
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and route updates
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries while maintaining exceptional customer service standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Strong commitment to safety and punctuality
- Basic knowledge of hazmat materials preferred
