Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) across regional routes
- Inspect vehicles daily to ensure compliance with DOT safety standards
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation software while adhering to delivery schedules
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logs (ELD)
- Provide exceptional customer service during dock interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch to resolve route disruptions or delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Knowledge of HOS regulations and DOT compliance
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with regional geography
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
