Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated Arizona routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations, HOS rules, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and secure cargo according to DOT standards
- Utilize GPS systems for efficient route planning and timely deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and customers regarding shipment status
- Document delivery receipts and resolve minor shipment discrepancies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with AZ highways, particularly Phoenix Metro area
- Basic knowledge of freight handling and securement techniques
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for early morning start times and occasional overnight trips
- High school diploma or equivalent required
