Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial freight vehicles (dry van, refrigerated) on regional routes
- Load/unload cargo using pallet jacks, forklifts, and manual handling techniques
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for timely deliveries and route optimization
- Ensure cargo security and compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Provide excellent customer service at delivery points
- Participate in ongoing safety training programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly
- Knowledge of California highway regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and overnight shifts
