Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per DOT regulations
- Inspect vehicles for safety compliance before/after trips
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route optimization
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Strong knowledge of Austin metro area and surrounding regions
- DOT medical certification and required endorsements
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Previous freight experience preferred
