Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Optimize delivery routes to maintain on-time performance metrics
- Communicate professionally with clients and warehouse personnel
- Document delivery receipts and handle necessary paperwork
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Knowledge of California traffic laws and hazardous materials handling
- Strong navigation skills with GPS proficiency
- Flexibility for early morning/late night shifts
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
