Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van and refrigerated) to transport freight on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Communicate with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status and delays
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Complete required documentation including bills of lading and delivery reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance
- Basic GPS navigation and smartphone proficiency
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- No major preventable accidents in the past 3 years
