Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes while adhering to DOT regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any maintenance needs
- Utilize remote fleet management systems to log delivery statuses and route updates
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs via mobile apps
- Collaborate with dispatch team through virtual communication platforms for real-time coordination
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of freight at various warehouse locations
- Implement safety protocols to protect cargo, equipment, and public welfare
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience in freight transportation
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong remote communication skills using company-provided tablets/mobile apps
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and securement techniques
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including early mornings and weekends
- Clean background check and no major moving violations in past 3 years
