Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial trucks to transport freight safely and efficiently
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain detailed vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan optimal delivery routes using GPS navigation systems
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance standards
- Communicate delivery status to dispatch and clients in real-time
- Manage paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- HazMat endorsement preferred
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of California road networks and regulations
