Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems while adhering to DOT regulations
- Secure and load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Complete delivery documentation and maintain communication with dispatch team
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Report mechanical issues and coordinate vehicle repairs promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety compliance standards
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS systems
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Must reside within 50 miles of New Orleans, LA
