Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial trucks and trailers to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance before and after each shift.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs (ELD/DOT), bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Cargo Handling: Safely load, secure, and unload cargo using proper tie-down techniques.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers at pickup and delivery points.
- Maintenance: Report any vehicle mechanical issues immediately to the maintenance department.
Qualifications
- CDL Class A License: Must hold a valid and current commercial driver's license.
- Clean MVR: Must possess a clean driving record with no DUIs or serious traffic violations in the last 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience required.
- Physical Ability: Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Hazmat/Tanker: Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are a plus but not required.
