Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport freight on regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain DOT compliance
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery deadlines
- Document mileage, fuel usage, and cargo handling per FMCSA regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatchers and clients regarding shipment status
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues
- Adhere to all federal/state safety protocols and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Proficient with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route planning tools
- Strong time management and customer service skills
