Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks in accordance with all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and cargo security.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring all cargo is secured properly.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and complete all necessary delivery paperwork on time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, traffic conditions, and delivery updates.
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company policies at all times.
- Represent the company professionally to customers and the public.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or willingness to obtain one through our training program).
- Must be at least 21 years old for interstate commerce.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Clean driving record with no major violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving) in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks during loading/unloading.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Residency within or willing to relocate to the New York/Ohio area.
