Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial freight vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and fuel efficiency
- Maintain electronic logging compliance (ELD) and DOT regulatory documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse personnel
- Implement defensive driving practices in all weather and traffic conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification and required endorsements
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and electronic logging systems
- Strong knowledge of California traffic laws and freight regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
