Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain a positive and secure environment for all passengers
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt schedules for field trips, athletic events, and extracurricular activities
- Complete daily attendance and incident reports accurately
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Minimum 2 years driving experience
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Flexible availability (early mornings, midday, and afternoons)
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
