Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips following designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Maintain a positive and orderly environment for all passengers
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations and school policies
- Manage student loading/unloading procedures with care and attention
- Complete required paperwork and incident reports accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work flexible hours (primarily mornings/afternoons)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to manage student behavior appropriately
- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle troubleshooting
