Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance standards
- Supervise students during transit, maintaining a positive and orderly environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adapt schedules to accommodate extracurricular activities and field trips
- Maintain accurate records of routes, incidents, and student attendance
- Emergency response training and crisis management protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work early morning, midday, and afternoon shifts
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
