Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on a consistent schedule
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance readiness
- Implement strict safety protocols during loading/unloading and transit
- Maintain accurate student attendance and route documentation
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adapt routes for field trips and extracurricular activities as needed
- Complete safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage student behavior with patience and authority
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
- Flexible availability during school hours (6:30 AM - 9:30 AM & 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM)
