Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight and goods across designated routes in Newark metro area
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Load/unload cargo efficiently using proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic documentation systems
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for seamless loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Strong knowledge of Newark area routes and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
