Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight throughout Anchorage and surrounding areas
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adapt schedules to accommodate customer delivery windows
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and local traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
- Knowledge of Anchorage roadways and winter driving conditions
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
