Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional freight deliveries throughout Denver metro area
- Manage loading/unloading operations with proper handling procedures
- Maintain vehicle maintenance records and ensure DOT compliance
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery while adhering to schedules
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and billing paperwork
- Utilize provided telematics for performance tracking and route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck or heavy vehicle operation experience
- Strong knowledge of Denver metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Basic mechanical aptitude for pre/post-trip inspections
- Reliable personal box truck (26' or larger) with current registration
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability minimum)
- Smartphone proficiency for communication and navigation apps
