Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional freight deliveries in the Charlotte metro area
- Manage loading/unloading operations with proper equipment handling
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route optimization and scheduling
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Provide professional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years box truck driving experience
- DOT medical certification and clean driving record
- Reliable box truck (26ft max) with proper insurance coverage
- Strong knowledge of Charlotte-area roadways and logistics hubs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for minor repairs
- Strong time management and communication skills
