Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks safely and efficiently for local/regional freight delivery
- Manage route optimization and delivery timelines to meet client expectations
- Maintain accurate logs, vehicle maintenance records, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time load assignments and schedule adjustments
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of goods and proper cargo handling
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Represent San Diego Fleet Solutions with professionalism and reliability
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck or commercial driving experience
- Proof of commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- Reliable box truck (26ft max) in good mechanical condition
- Strong knowledge of San Diego County and Southern California routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Basic smartphone proficiency for communication and navigation
- Entrepreneurial mindset with self-motivation and time management skills
