Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 commercial vehicles for regional freight delivery
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure on-time performance
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate delivery status to dispatch and clients via mobile app
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Current DOT medical certification
- Experience with refrigerated trailer operations preferred
- Strong knowledge of Detroit metro area and surrounding counties
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends
- Basic smartphone proficiency for digital dispatch systems
