Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for freight transport across Michigan and neighboring states
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques
- Communicate professionally with clients and warehouse personnel
- Utilize GPS systems for real-time navigation and delivery tracking
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Michigan roadways and traffic patterns
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including nights/weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer skills for delivery documentation
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
