Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial freight vehicles for local and regional deliveries
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining flexible hour availability
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Document delivery logs and maintain accurate shipment records
- Collaborate with dispatch teams for route optimization and load coordination
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Comply with all DOT regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of professional freight driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong knowledge of Columbus metro area and surrounding regions
- Physical ability to handle freight loading/unloading (up to 50 lbs)
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willingness to pass background check and drug screening
