Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and bulk goods
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while navigating Jersey City's diverse terrain
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic equipment maintenance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Collaborate with site supervisors to optimize material distribution
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and local traffic laws
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of commercial dump truck operation experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting common vehicle issues
- Strong time management skills for flexible scheduling
- Ability to pass mandatory drug screening and background check
