Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages and goods within Oakland city limits using company-provided vehicles
- Efficiently navigate local routes using GPS technology while adhering to traffic laws
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Inspect and maintain assigned vehicles for cleanliness, safety, and mechanical soundness
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve inquiries promptly
- Coordinate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and maintain timely schedules
- Handle package loading/unloading with care to prevent damage or loss
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience or equivalent delivery background
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of Oakland streets and surrounding Bay Area communities
- Smartphone proficiency for GPS navigation and communication apps
- Reliable transportation to/from start location (vehicle not required for role)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Pass background check and drug screening (company policy)
