Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local and regional deliveries within the DC metropolitan area
- Manage delivery schedules and optimize routes for efficiency using our dispatch platform
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspections, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate with clients and dispatch teams for seamless on-time deliveries
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and address minor mechanical issues
- Ensure proper loading/unloading procedures and cargo security
- Adhere to all DC traffic regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with air brake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years box truck or heavy-duty commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Basic mechanical knowledge for preventative maintenance
- Smartphone proficiency for communication and route navigation
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Proof of commercial vehicle insurance and DOT medical certification
