Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local and regional deliveries
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Inspect and maintain vehicle pre/post-trip documentation
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control or secure transport
- Represent Capital Fleet Solutions professionally with all stakeholders
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Washington DC metro area roadways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for early morning start times and occasional overtime
