Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across the Southeast region
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery scheduling
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques and equipment operation
- Document delivery paperwork and communicate shipment status
- Represent company professionally with clients and at shipping facilities
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb into trailer beds
- Strong navigation skills with familiarity with Southeast US routes
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility for overnight trips and occasional weekend schedules
- Basic computer skills for ELD and reporting systems
